Miami Beach

Florida has long been known as one of the most gay-friendly vacation spots in the United States, and Miami Beach is truly its gay-friendly capitol! Offering amazing gay beaches, a variety of mouthwatering restaurants, and LGBT events year round, this amazing locale is a hot spot for anyone in the LGBT community looking for a place to get away from it all, party it up, and simply enjoy life. But, of course, when you go on vacation, you aren’t just looking for a place that’s accepting; you’re looking for an area with happening clubs, and a variety of attractions that suit your mood and your desire. Fortunately, Miami Beach has more than its fair share of gay friendly attractions that simply can’t be missed!

5. The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater

Recently renovated, this beautiful theater located in the Art Deco District has a show going on every night! From up and coming comedians and musicians to the biggest touring acts in the world, you can catch a variety of different shows and concerts whenever you so desire. Add in the beautiful decor, fantastic drinks and food, and so much more, it’s easy to see why this is one of the most popular theaters in Miami Beach!

4. 12th Street Gay Beach

Though you have a decent selection of gay beaches here in Miami Beach, 12th street gay beach is truly where it’s at! Friendly to gay, bi, trans, and all types, this beach’s beautiful white sands, great surf, and friendly people provide an experience that everyone will love. Best of all, with a variety of bar and restaurants nearby to grant some relief after a long day in the sun, the beach is also very centrally located! Just follow the rainbow flags, and you’ll be there in no time.

3. The Palace

If you’re looking for a show, the Palace in South Beach is a great place to grab a drink, eat some mouthwatering burgers, and watch one of Miami Beach’s most famous drag shows. Located on Ocean Avenue, this gay bar is famous for Sunday “Brunchic”, a combination drag show and brunch, along with a wide variety of fun shows, with the main event–the drag show–always center stage! Don’t forget the bottle service and their signature cocktails!

2. Basement Miami

Located at the Miami Beach Edition, the Basement Miami is one of the most unique gay clubs here in Miami Beach. Featuring a nightclub, bowling alley, ice-skating rink, and a state-of-the-art sound system, this intimate yet exciting club is easily one of the best attractions you’ll visit here in Miami Beach. Trust us; if “a visual riot and sensory overload” sounds like a good time to you, then don’t miss out on this 21st century homage to Ian Schrager’s Studio 54!

1. Miami Beach Gay Pride

Miami Beach Gay Pride is the event of the season and one of the biggest (and most fun) LGBT gatherings in Florida! This three day bonanza taking place April 8-10, 2016 offers events, dancing, music, and a huge parade that runs the length of Ocean Drive, along the Art Deco district. With big name stars throughout the area–Mario Lopez was the 2015 Grand Marshal–and so much to do, this is truly the greatest gay friendly attraction in Miami beach. The only downside is that it’s only once a year!

No matter if you visit during the winter, fall, spring, or summer, Miami Beach is home to some of the most amazing events and attractions catering to the LGBT community. So, if you’re looking for a great vacation spot with awesome attractions, events, and accommodations, it’s time to plan your vacation today!
