With the balmy, sub-tropical climate the freshwater pool and aromatherapy spa set in the landscaped gardens is the perfect location to enjoy a change from the beach. This means that you can spend all day in the water yet have none of the unpleasant smells associated with older chemically treated pools. The Aromatherapy five person spa is complete with recliner seating, special effect lighting, mood scents, and even a waterfall. This is kept clean and hygienic by ozone technology so as with our pool, there are no chemical smells to worry about.
After your days exploring or relaxing around the guesthouse you may wish to relax on the pool deck for evening drinks before enjoying some of Byron's many award winning cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs. Should you wish to enjoy an evening at the guesthouse there is a barbeque set up on the pool deck for your use and a refrigerator for guest supplies.
All of the guesthouse rooms are en-suite and beautifully decorated in a contemporary style, simple yet elegant. The queen or king sized beds and finest mattresses are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen to provide a level of comfort and luxury normally found only in the world’s greatest hotels. Each of the rooms has its own entrance from the verandah and all are individually air conditioned/heated for your personal comfort. The king studio room has a private verandah overlooking the tropically landscaped pool and deck and has a king sized bed which may be replaced by twin beds. Each of the queen rooms have a wide verandah overlooking the gardens, providing a lovely relaxing spot to enjoy a glass of wine or two. For entertainment in your bedroom there is a wide screen, flat panel television and DVD combination with surround sound. This is ideal for a relaxing night at home with a movie from the guesthouse library or playing your favourite tracks while you get ready for a night out on the town.
The modern en-suite shower rooms are again designed in a simple contemporary style with Egyptian cotton bath sheets and towels. Pool towels will also be provided, but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
One of the best things about Byron Bay is that it is so easy to rent a car and go off on a day trip to one of the many varied locations in the region. To the north and south are plenty of almost deserted beaches, such as Tallow Beach and Seven Mile Beach, and isolated coastal towns like Lennox Heads and Brunswick Heads. Inland, Mt Warning offers exhilarating hiking and camping opportunities, while exploring rural towns such as Bangalow, Lismore, Nimbin and The Channon, is a rewarding experience. There are a number of national parks in the area, such as Nightcap National Park, a world heritage site located on one side of Mt Warning famous for its waterfalls, flora, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and hundreds of species of birds. Make the Amber Gardens Guesthouse your home base while you explore this scenic region.
