    Tapawera Settle Motel & Campground

Tapawera is a small Kahurangi Gateway town on New Zealand's South Island. It is located thirty kilometres southwest of Nelson by the banks of the Motueka River. It Contains a School, Holiday Park, local Supermarket, gift shop, a few Cafes, and a garage.  The geographic centre of New Zealand is located close to Tapawera, in the nearby Spooner Hills.

At Tapawera Settle Motel and Campground one can experience traditional, clean, and comfortable hospitality, mountain views plus the rustic charm of this historic fruit-picking facility from years gone by. The property is complete with original buildings including an increasingly famous kitchen, and changed only by the addition of modern motels and conveniences.

Tapawera Settle, a friendly family run campground and motel situated in Tapawera village is adjacent to the Kahurangi National Park and beside  the Motueka River for safe swimming, trout fishing, kayaking, river walks, and complete relaxation. Tapawera itself is located forty-five minutes south west of Nelson and is around a five hour drive from Christchurch, so a perfect stop-over if you are heading north to Golden Bay. It's an ideal location for those seeking historic Kahurangi gold mining trails including the famous Wangapeka Track, or those in search of some of the best trout fishing in New Zealand, or maybe just those looking to stop, explore, and enjoy this beautiful area with a warm sunny climate. Combined with the welcoming southern hospitality, Tapawera Settle offers above average quality at below average prices.
